XN964 was built by Blackburn Aircraft Ltd at Brough, North Humberside and first flew 21St July 1963. It saw service with 801 squadron onboard the aircraft carrier HMS Victorious before joining the Royal Aircraft Establishment at Bedford. It was transferred to the Royal Radar Establishment in June 1972 and dismantled in October 1976 for use as a ground instructional airframe.

Uno de los B.103 Buccaneer de preserie (XK488; c/n B3-03-58 )se conserva en el Museo de la Fleet Air Arm, en esta actitud, sujeto por la brida a la catapulta. Aparece con los colores originales, más tarde serían blancos "anti-flash" por su empleo como vectores nucleares y finalmente de un "dark sea grey" uniforme antes de pasar a la RAF. Se observan las tomas de aire pequeñas asociadas a los motores originales Gyron Junior, así como la sonda para la instrumentación en el morro (KR64/Nikon Coolscan V).
