Durante la guerra civil éste avión es adquirido por el Gobierno de La República en Francia, fue el F-ARIJ, pasando a prestar servicio con la Aviación Republicana con el indicativo LR-006, después de la guerra, presta servicios con el Ejército del Aire con la identificación 40-3, hasta que es transferido a Iberia, siendo matriculado el 18 de Marzo de 1941, presta servicio en Guinea donde es dado de baja en vuelo el 20 de Junio de 1955. Es vendido en Francia donde se matricula F-OBAQ.

Este avión fue adquirido en Francia por la Aviación Republicana durante la Guerra Civil, fue el F-APDE. Después de la guerra presta servicios con el Ejército del Aire con el código 40-2. Entre los años 1939-1940 es adquirido por Iberia, siendo matriculado EC-BAA y bautizado "Chacón". En Mayo de 1947 toma la nueva matrícula EC-AAQ. En Marzo de 1949, causa baja en el Registro español al ser vendido en Bélgica, tomando allí la matrícula OO-PET. Foto recibida de mi buen amigo Juan Arráez Cerdá.

Este avión es adquirido por Iberia en 1940 y cuando se efectúa la nueva matriculación en España en 1947 cambia por la de EC-AAQ. En el año 1954 lo da de baja la Cía. regresando al Reino Unido donde es matriculado G-ANYK. Causa baja por accidente en 1961.

The de Havilland DH.60 Moth is a 1920s British two-seat touring and training aircraft that was developed into a series of aircraft by the de Havilland Aircraft Company.
The DH.60X Moth was an optional'X' braced undercarriage version of the early Gipsy Moth. (X-style undercarriage became standard for the DH.60M and all subsequent models)

1st of type on AC !
G-EBIR was built in 1925, the last of only three DH51's built (the other two were G-EBIM & G-EBIQ). It was the first aircraft to be registered in Kenya as VP-KAA in 1928 and named "Miss Kenya". Donated to The Shuttleworth Trust in 1962 and is the oldest de Havilland designed aircraft still flying !
