The 777 is the most elegant plane in service. Seen here about to touch down on 24R with some beautiful light shining on those powerful Rolls Royce engines. Inbound from Shanghai.

The owner of this aircraft is the famed director Francis Ford Coppola. From watching his movies, you get the sense that he has quite an imagination and it shows on this aircraft. This very unique paint scheme is certainly an attention grabber, and in my opinion, its nice. Seen here landing on 24R just in time to celebrate the 4th of July in sunny LA!

After around 3.5 hours of sitting on the plane at the gate due to heavy rain and thunderstorms, we finally become air born in the usual muggy skies of Shanghai. Seen here banking right as we head to NRT, this delay subsequently caused us to miss our connection in NRT resulting in an overnight stay in Tokyo at our expense because as many of you probably know, weather delays=costly for passengers like myself )= as the hotel was $150 for the night along with a 35 dollar club sandwich at the hotel. Flying certainly has its ups and downs, but regardless of how costly it can be, I still enjoy every second of it!

Awesome to see that LH decided to serve LAX with the 748. I was hoping LAX would get this bird over the 380 and was very pleased to see it land on a cloudier day here at LAX.

So sad that this aircraft is no longer here. HL7604 crashed on July 28th near Jeju Island. It was carrying lithium-ion batteries which is believed to have ignited mid-flight which eventually brought down the plane. RIP to the pilots and condolences to their families. Truly a shame.

SQ's inaugural A380 flight to LAX is seen here on final for 24R. The original 380 start date to LAX was in March, but due to the earthquake/tsunami that his Japan, this flight was postponed until now. It was sure worth the wait tho to see this beauty come to LA!
