Presentación en Cuatro Vientos de esta Cessna O-1E-CE Bird Dog (EC-MAB; c/n 305M-0040), una fenomenal restauración que recrea los aviones utilizados como Forward Air Controllers en Vietnam. El detalle exterior e interior es sencillamente increíble, desde los cohetes de señalización bajo las alas hasta la última clavija de los diversos equipos de radio. Este avión procede de la Aviazione dell'Esercito italiano, donde sirvió con la "matricola militare" MM61-2992 (correspondiente a su serial norteamericano), y el código E.I.-6. Vendido en el mercado civil con la matrícula I-EIBD, pasó a ser registrado como N191JL, antes de recibir la actual matrícula española
Me comunica amablemente el propietario de esta joya que mis datos son erróneos: este Bird Dog nunca recibió la matrícula italiana "I-EIBD"´(el dato procede de la página de Scramble), y la norteamericana "N191JL" fue únicamente reservada por la FAA, sin que llegase a llevarla pintada, ya que finalmente recibió la española que luce en la actualidad.
