Espectacular y, para su tiempo, avanzado diseño el del Cutlass. Éste que se exhibe en el Museo Nacional de Aviación Naval de los Estados Unidos entró en servicio en 1955 siendo operado en el USS Bon Homme Richard (CV-31) durante 1956-1957.
Este es el primer F7U Cutlass en AC.
