LHR bound in some great winter light. 1st of 3 daily flights ANZ has to LAX each day with the other two being evening departures to Auckland.

Taxiing by quite a lineup of heavies at the new TBIT. A shot like this truly captures the diversity in air carriers seen here every day at LAX. Inbound from LHR.

Operating as a charter for the RoseBowl. Seen here rotating in great winter light as a Spirit airbus approaches 24R.

Similar to the A380, the wingspan on the 748 is too great to taxi via Charlie or Bravo to 25R from the TBIT. In order to utilize the south complex, it must taxi via Alpha, the southern most taxiway and use 25L. Unfortunately this means that both the A380 and 748 usually will use 24L instead due to the much shorter taxi, but occasionally we'll see one use 25L, which is great for us photographers as we can catch this beauty in nice winter light.

With 9 A380s visiting each day (QF 2x, KE 2x, SQ, AF, EK, CZ and BA), LAX has certainly become a 380 hotspot. Unfortunately, many of the 380 departures utilize 24L as the taxi route is much shorter. However, due to this being the longest 380 flight in the world at 16 1/2 hours, it must use the longer 25L giving us photographers a great opportunity to catch it rotating in great winter light. A big thanks goes out to Diego Mancilla for helping with this shot.
