El QV-I fue construido en 1944 como monoplaza y como tal participó en la contienda. En el año 1950 fue convertido en biplaza para desempeñar el papel de entrenador para la Irish Air Corps. Ahora ha sido pintado como perteneciente al 19 Squadron de Spitfires que operó desde Duxford durante la batalla de Inglaterra.
