SQ's inaugural A380 flight to LAX is seen here on final for 24R. The original 380 start date to LAX was in March, but due to the earthquake/tsunami that his Japan, this flight was postponed until now. It was sure worth the wait tho to see this beauty come to LA!

Landings on 24L are usually not normal, but today it seemed like every heavy was getting side-stepped over. Unlucky night, but at least when the head haze died down, i was able to capture this usual evening visitor in nice light.

Aterrizando por la 24R de Los Ángeles. Qué gozada que las normas de navegación en USA sean tan flexibles que permitan volar sobre estos aeropuertos sin problema alguno. Algo sí tenemos que aprender en este lago del Atlántico.

En la misma noche de mi llegada a LAX, mi amigo Diego Mancilla ya me animó para ir a hacer fotografías nocturnas, y suerte la mía al encontrarme el 737 retro de Alaska Airlines. Qué bonita costumbre que esperemos siga proliferando más sorpresas.
