After several years of delays, Sikorsky has received airworthiness certification for the S-76D. This will allow Sikorsky to begin delivering a backlog of commercial orders.

This milestone comes four years later than originally expected. The model replaces the S-76C++ which is already out of production.

The rotorcraft manufacturer expects to deliver 10 S-76Ds by the end of the year.
