Apagando el incendio provocado por una cosechadora, a veces las cosechadoras siegan el trigo con la cuchilla muy cerca del suelo provocando alguna chispa en contacto con alguna piedra, en las labores de extinción colaboraron tres helicópteros, el EC-EVA de vigilancia, el EC-KTU y el F-HCFD con sus respectivos bambis.
El lugar del incendio esta a tres quilómetros escasos de la cabecera de la pista 20 del aeropuerto de Girona, no se hubo ninguna incidencia que causase impedimento a los vuelos comerciales.
