Unos metros antes de tocar la rampa de acceso a la plataforma, se aumenta suavemente potencia y paso de hélices para subirla con seguridad y control de dirección por la deriva vertical. Un desvío en esas circunstancias costó una avería grave al salirse de la rampa hace unos años. Al tocar fondo la rueda delantera, sube el morro, aumenta el peso y se hunde la cola hasta el momento de tocar las patas principales, iniciando entonces la trepada final con pleno control de dirección.
