Pasada a baja altura del Hawkeye. con una tripulación de 5 hombres, este biturbohélice tenía a su cargo la vigilancia lejana. Solían operar 3 aviones en equipo, escalonados en línea recta, llegando a cubrir de este modo hasta distancias de más de 100 millas con su radar. Su gran "platillo" y sus 4 derivas le hacen un avión inconfundible, único en su genero.
