Esta fue la primera serie de Harrier que operó en la Armada, estos fueron vendidos a la Armada de Tailandia junto con un potaaviones gemelo del "Principe de Asturias". Los pilotos tailandeses fueron instruidos en Rota por pilotos de nuestra Armada en este tipo de avión.
