Si el Beech 60 Duke era un purasangre, el 76 Duchess no era más que un pony de paseo. Desarrollado a patir del pequeño Musketeer para competir con el Piper PA-44 Seminole (con quien compartía sus motores Lycoming de 180 hp) como bimotor de escuela básica, la "Duquesa" no era muy popular, sobre todo para instrucción con un motor parado. Piper se llevó la mayor parte del pastel, y el PA-44 aún sigue fabricándose, aunque muchos Duchesses quedan por ahí, principalmente como aviones de escuela, como éste (c/n MA-332) que vemos en Tires, trabajando para Aerocóndor (KR64/Nilkon Coolscan V)
